#HerVoiceIsMyVoice 
This was YouTube's hashtag and mantra for its International Women's Day digital campaign. The hashtag was a rallying cry for women around the world to come together and share videos of women speaking out on behalf of women.

Color Palette 
We wanted the colors to feel feminine, yet strong while evoking a patriotic feel –without being too political. A warm YouTube red was paired with bright and pale pinks with a deep blue contrasting element to bring the palette together. 
Logo Exploration 
Many directions were explored for this project. Some referenced the Women's March and protest posters, some referenced interconnectivity between women around the world. All were geared toward making a strong, bold and feminine statement.
Final Logo 
The chosen logo needed to be bold, succinct and easily readable even at a small scale.
Animated Yoodle 
We wanted to bring a more human element to the branding design and the Yoodle (YouTube's "Google Doodle") provided the opportunity. The logo's lozenge shape held an animation of stylized illustrated women, all mouthing the words "her voice is my voice" with one consistent mouth. 
Social Posts 
We carried the aesthetic through social posts on Twitter in a day-long campaign on March 8, 2017.
Success
The campaign was so successful and well liked by the YouTube internal team that we were asked to create a similar branding package for Mother's Day 2017 as well.
